A Norwegian Agency Gets New Polish Digs

When Norwegian agency Opera Software needed a new office in Wroclaw, Poland, they called on mode:lina to design an unforgettable space that fulfilled their request where they said, “We want the best office in the world!” Located in the heart of the city, the headquarters takes up two townhouses, one from the beginning of the XIX century and the other from 1913, which led to the designers’ inspiration of the architecture in the city around them. Along with the building’s industrial fill, they gave them an interior with an eclectic loft-like feel.

Since Wroclaw is known as “the city of one hundred bridges,” they incorporated that into the interior’s theme using arches, grates, and colors that reflect that.

The kitchenette was designed to reference the construction of architectural icons around the city, like Market Hall, Central Railway Station Hall, or Szcztnicki’s Park.

The conference rooms were designed with computers in mind, featuring circuit-type gear, fans, and old floppy discs.
