Why We Sell- Malouf Woven™ TENCEL®
Here are the benefits: sustainable production, resistance to wrinkles, comfortable in all temperatures, and even hygienic.
What bedroom product could live put to all these standards? Today we are talking about Woven Tencel sheets from Malouf. This synthetic fiber is natural in organ from cellulose fibers in the eucalyptus trees. “Unlike rayon and bamboo, Tencel’s supply chain is transparent. It is obtained from eucalyptus trees that are grown on farms—no old growth forests, genetic manipulation, irrigation, or pesticides are used” (Ecomall.com). The wood fibers are spun into yarn which is then woven together to create breathable and durable fabric.
First of all, Tencel is sustainable. It is created through a closed loop process that allows for almost all its non-toxic solvent to be recovered and recirculated. Along with the revived nature of the eucalyptus tree the product is long lasting and durable. Because of its eco-friendly creation it has been given the “European Award for the Environment.” from the European Union and the fabric carries the Oeko Tex 100 certification.
Not only is is sustainable it is also hygienic. Its moisture management and wicking that makes the fabric breathable in all climates also lends itself to limiting bacteria growth. Along with these properties since the fabric is created from smooth fibers it leads to soft, flexible, and comfortable sleeping.
