1. Serge Manzon’s Table Lamps
I have a collection of rare 1970s table lamps, designed by Serge Manzon, in each of my homes. I admire these iconic objects and light sculptures, especially the Eclair lamp (seen above). They’re composed of hemispheric sheet-iron shade with white lacquer on the interior and gilt lacquer on the exterior, inset within blue-lacquered triangular body, atop metallic ¼-inch sphere.

2. Carlo Mollino’s Polaroids
I’m an admirer of Carlo Mollino’s erotic Polaroids, posthumously discovered in a shoebox at his Turin apartment in 1973. He was a true genius in all disciplines. He paid meticulous detail to the model, composition and stylism. I can’t stop looking at them. His Polaroids were hidden just after his death and speaks to the notion that he was ahead of his time.

3. Classic Cars
I love classic cars! While traveling in a vintage vehicle, I feel transported in a time capsule of care and elegance. Those are my meditative moments. I’ve had the opportunity to experience a few different models from various periods. One of my favorite classic cars is the Aston Martin V8, made famous by the James Bond franchise.

4. Music Streaming
Music streaming platforms are a true innovation. For the unpredictable music moods, or for any random outings, and even for specific occasions, we don’t have time to build specific playlists and keep them updated. Listeners are able to frequent an endless quantity of on demand music, and that is real progress. I enjoy discovering new singers and songs every minute of the day. Thanks to one of these platforms, I recently discovered the song “Tangerine” by Christophe & Alan Vega. Sadly, Christophe (Daniel Bevilacqua) passed away last April, but his legacy lives on.

5. Tree Trimming
Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice – in some cases performed outdoors. But my favorite spiritual exercise is simply trimming trees. Like any physical routine, tree trimming requires much training and intense concentration. It’s a true art form in itself and helps me to stay focused and balanced.
